Who we are
Eaos Corporation (“Eaos”, “we”) builds and operates EAOS and Eddy for the utilities and organizations that run water and other infrastructure. Eddy accounts are issued by Eaos to people at those organizations; there is no public sign-up.
What the Eddy app collects
- Your account. Your name, email address and an account identifier, from the sign-in Eaos runs for your organization.
- Your conversations. The questions you ask Eddy, typed or spoken, and Eddy’s answers.
- Your voice. When you speak to Eddy, your speech is turned into text by Apple’s speech recognition, under Apple’s privacy policy. We receive the text, not a recording.
Some things stay on your phone and are never sent to us: the location the app uses to tell you which asset you are standing at (Bluetooth beacons and GPS), and your settings.
How we use it
To sign you in, answer your questions, keep your conversations so you can return to them, keep the service secure, and fix problems. We do not sell personal information, show advertising, or track you across other companies’ apps or websites.
Who else handles it
- Your organization. Eddy works on your organization’s facility data, which belongs to your organization and is handled under our agreement with it.
- Our service providers, under contract and only to run Eddy: cloud hosting, the AI model providers that produce Eddy’s answers, the voice provider that speaks them, and our email provider.
- When the law requires it, or to protect the safety of people or the service.
Where and how long
We store your information with our cloud hosting providers. We keep your account and conversations while your account is active and for as long as your organization’s agreement requires, then delete them. Information is encrypted in transit and access is limited to the people who run the service.
This website
The contact form sends us your name, email, company and message by email so we can reply. The site uses no analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete your information, or to close your account, by writing to info@eaos.ai. You can turn off the microphone, speech recognition and location for Eddy at any time in your iPhone’s Settings. Eddy is a tool for work and is not directed to children.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will post the new version here with its effective date.
